As someone who has written the odd expression parser/evaluator now and then (though not as odd as this one I have to say), it smacks to me of someone who has discovered operator precedence, but hasn't realised that some operators have the same precedence, and has defined the precedence of the operators with '+' coming before '-' instead of being equal to it.

If that's the case, you might find that it also calculates 3 - 2 + 1 as 0 rather than 2? Or that there's a similar problem with multiple and divide... does 12 / 2 * 3 equal 18 or 2 in this system?

First, awesome name. Second, I'm quite impressed that you found this post and replied to it! I'll let my IT people know what you've said (probably just forward your comment to them) and perhaps they can help. If it's possible to keep my current dual-boot situation without buying a new hard drive (I don't think I have a SED), that would be completely ideal. I'll contact you using the links you provided if I have questions.

Hello Darrin,

We're very sorry to hear about your experience using SecureDoc. As you discovered, we have a unique way of supporting Linux devices and dual-boot poses a complex problem for users such as yourself. The ideal solution for your particular issue would have been for IT to provide a SecureDoc OSA install package to address your specific configuration.

SecureDoc OSA is a feature that allows SecureDoc users to encrypt their hard drive without needing to install any software in the Operating System (OS).Using the technology of Self Encrypting Hard Drives (SEDs), installation is performed at pre-boot, which eliminates the need to create an OS-specific installation package. The installation can apply to many different Operating Systems, including all Intel-platform versions of Linux, Solaris and Windows.

We're happy to discuss this further and perhaps speak to your IT folks about taking advantage of this feature for users like yourself.

Feel free to contact me.

Hello Dr. Rogers,

My name is Anna Osornio and I am a student at Beloit College in Wisconsin. I came across your CV and would be very interested in perhaps getting receiving a copy of your paper titled: Cultural Learned Helplessness Among Hispanic Students. A class dealing on Latino Educational issues is planning to do a Latino Issues Conference (the first of its kind at Beloit) where the students would present information on specific issues concerning the Latino community. I would love to be able to use your paper as it seems relevant to what my topic interests consist of. Please let me know if this is possible. My email is osornioa@beloit.edu

Best Regards,
